Good Morning America and Welcome To A New Era

The Hot War of the Third Millennium Is Upon Us

A new era where we no longer take for granted that either our technology, our strong military, our intellect via the US intelligence services can provide a safe haven from terrorists who follow no rules of war and have no qualms with murdering innocent men, women and children. Terrorists do not follow traditional rules of engagement and they certainly have not read, nor would they comprehend, the ‘Geneva Convention’ we adhere to in times of war.

World Trade Center Explosion
Never Forget! Never Surrender!

I do think though, that key to us winning the hearts and minds of the world, is that we stress to the world that we have no plans to fight wars against any religion. In fact, to the contrary, the USA was founded on a basis of religious freedom and respect for all religions. It is unfortunate that much like the one bad cop who gives the entire force a black eye, a small number of people who hate America, made many believe erroneously that Muslims, as a whole, were bad people. This is not my belief, and I am confident it is not the belief of our President.

The threats we face now, or have faced in the past, might be that of a Christian, Muslim, Jew, they might be from Saudi Arabia, Japan, Germany, Iraq or right HERE in the USA, and, sadly, might even be other Americans. Regardless of the face of the threat, we will embrace it and beat it.

Iraqi soldiers fled TO US Military people because they know we follow certain laws and guidelines about the treatment of prisoners of war. They knew they would be fed and clothed and treated humanely. *THEY FLED TO THE US MILITARY IN DROVES!* Is there a single person in the world who believes that if the situation were in reverse and Iraq was attacking America, that they would lose one minutes sleep over whether the bomb site was a baby milk factory.

Our military leaders lost sleep trying to be sure to strike military targets, yet, Hussein still tried to make it appear as though, “The evil satanic Americans would bomb our babies source of food.” How absurd, but, nonetheless, there were people who believed it. People like those who cheered the criminal acts yesterday in New York City. I can tell you one thing, my mind went through a major shift in the way I think yesterday. I no longer believe that we can extend the same rights to people in other countries that are so dear to us in the USA. Without some system of accountability there can be no rights. Rights and responsibility go hand in hand, and neither can exist independently from the other.

This attack is a wake up call whose arrival has been secretly feared by officials of the USA for decades. President John F. Kennedy knew it would come to past. The day when a small, unnamed and unofficial to any particular government, band of criminals, with no fear of killing innocent men, women and children would strike. Kennedy created the Navy SEALS just for this purpose. We must fight these small bands of outlaws with swift and deadly force.

Americans Bashing Americans

All to frequently we as Americans are our own worst enemy. We jump to conclusions like, George Bush screwed up when he didn’t march into Baghdad and take over Iraq during the Gulf War, after all we were right down the street. I am here to jump to the defense of the Bush Administration and the decision to halt the War. I believe strongly that the key factors that made the Gulf War such a massive success are as follows:

1) A large coalition of allies and other countries that typically do NOT side with the USA was drawn together to provide a world unity and prevent the USA from having to act alone in the war. This was critical to avoid other countries from forming alliances opposed to the USA, thus causing a split, and possibly a World War to spread.

2) There were very specific rules set forth to determine what a would be considered a victory for the USA and the coalition. The key objective was to retake Kuwait and free the people of Kuwait from the tyranny of a despot. This was achieved.

3) The coalition would have certainly fractured and the USA would have been deemed an aggressor rather than a savior. Without the coalition of governments, the War could have deteriorated into a Vietnam scenario with support waning both abroad and at home.

4) One of the strongest arguments that can be made to defend our beliefs and policies and our way of life is that we, the USA, has never forcibly captured territory of a sovereign nation without a just cause, especially not to remove a leader of that nation, nor is it solid policy to do so.

5) With well over a million people in Baghdad, it would have been a bloody battle and might still be underway. Men, women and children would have been throwing projectiles from windows and a war for Baghdad would have entailed massive loss of life for the USA and support for this decision would have collapsed very quickly at home an abroad. The overwhelming problem in Iraq it is the form of government and that with time and conviction of people who want to be free, as we are, will ultimately win over aggressive despots.

The only justifiable reason to completely overrun a sovereign nation is a direct attack and act of War against the actual soil of the United States of America.

Americans Unite, stand proud

We are not defeated. We will seek justice with a fervor that these murderous criminals do not comprehend. They will quickly learn more about the people, and way of life, they stabbed in the back on September 11, 2001, and about our pre-existing allies, and even our former enemies who all despise these barbarous acts. They will learn what makes Americans tick. We are descendants of men and women who gave their wealth and fortunes to create a just system that respected individual rights and responsibilities. Our forefathers died and many hid in caves during the American Revolution. Now terrorists attempt to drive us into caves in our own land. The timely response, once we have identified those responsible, must be swift, certain and deadly. We must sweep the country and snuff out any remaining terrorist cells quickly and put measures in place to keep more cells from being able to form effectively.

Although we become spoiled by our wealth and technology, we ALWAYS give of ourselves as a people to ensure justice prevails. Our form of government and way of life are built around justice and independent responsibility and we will strongly demand the same from the world community. It seems as though, at this time, we are getting that.

One tenant we have proved time and time again is this: When America, cradle of justice, freedom and democracy, unties with allies and the world community we are ALWAYS victorious. Maybe not tomorrow, or even this year, but eventually.

Following is a tribute to the USA, from one of our friendly neighbors to the North. Widespread but only partial news coverage was given recently to a remarkable editorial broadcast from Toronto by Gordon Sinclair, a Canadian television commentator. What follows is the full text of his trenchant remarks as printed in the Congressional Record:

America: The Good Neighbor:

"This Canadian thinks it is time to speak up for the Americans as the most generous and possibly the least appreciated people on all the earth. Germany, Japan and, to a lesser extent, Britain and Italy were lifted out of the debris of war by the Americans who poured in billions of dollars and forgave other billions in debts. None of these countries is today paying even the interest on its remaining debts to the United States. When France was in danger of collapsing in 1956, it was the Americans who propped it up, and their reward was to be insulted and swindled on the streets of Paris. I was there. I saw it. When earthquakes hit distant cities, it is the United States that hurries in to help. This spring, 59 American communities were flattened by tornadoes. Nobody helped. The Marshall Plan and the Truman Policy pumped billions of dollars into discouraged countries. Now newspapers in those countries are writing about the decadent, warmongering Americans. I'd like to see just one of those countries that is gloating over the erosion of the United States dollar build its own airplane. Does any other country in the world have a plane to equal the Boeing Jumbo Jet, the Lockheed Tri-Star, or the Douglas DC10? If so, why don't they fly them? Why do all the International lines except Russia fly American Planes? Why does no other land on earth even consider putting a man or woman on the moon? You talk about Japanese technocracy, and you get radios. You talk about German technocracy, and you get automobiles. You talk about American technocracy, and you find men on the moon, not once, but several times and safely home again. You talk about scandals, and the Americans put theirs right in the store window for everybody to look at. Even their draft-dodgers are not pursued and hounded. They are here on our streets, and most of them, unless they are breaking Canadian laws, are getting American dollars from ma and pa at home to spend here. When the railways of France, Germany and India were breaking down through age, it was the Americans who rebuilt them. When the Pennsylvania Railroad and the New York Central went broke, nobody loaned them an old caboose. Both are still broke. I can name you 5,000 times when the Americans raced to the help of other people in trouble. Can you name me even one time when someone else raced to the Americans in trouble? I don't think there was outside help even during the San Francisco earthquake. Our neighbors have faced it alone, and I'm one Canadian who is damned tired of hearing them get kicked around. They will come out of this thing with their flag high. And when they do, they are entitled to thumb their nose at the lands that are gloating over their present troubles. I hope Canada is not one of those."

Then the sender of the email remarked, “Makes you proud to live here doesn't it??

THANKS, ANTHONY”

I have just one small correction though Anthony. It does not MAKE us proud to be Americans, it reaffirms our pre-existing pride to live in, and participate in this great and free country. Our forefathers fought and died for things we take advantage of these days, but the reason we come out on top each and every time we are called upon, is because we still hold our belief in the individual American, combining freedom and ingenuity, to do the right thing at the right time. We’ve always strived to be the ‘nice kid on the block’. To this end we mistakenly transfer our individual rights to people in countries where they do not place the same value on individual rights, responsibilities or freedom. We should adopt a policy that any leader in any country who is not elected or made powerful by the people of the country, via some form of constitution, or other named form of legal documentation or process, then he or she is not recognized by the global community as a valid leader of those people, thus we do not apply our rules, regulations or rights to that individual, and to a larger degree, to that country. Countries whose leaders come from birthright will need to have hard evidence to this right, and the country will have to implement a legal policy or constitution that delineates these policies and said rights.

Fasten your seat belts America, this is going to be a long, and occasionally a bloody battle, but we must maintain our resolve in this new era of war.

God Bless the USA and all Terrorist Opposing Nations, including China and Russia, who will ban together in an attempt to build a terror free world.
