Army Sgt. Robert Thrasher

As I was searching Google for my name trying to see if I was ranked higher than the other Rob Thrasher's I had one of those very sobering moments of clarity. Army Sgt. Robert B. Thrasher, 23, of Folsom, Calif., assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Bliss, Texas; died Feb. 11 in Baghdad of wounds suffered when his unit came in contact with the enemy using small arms fire during combat patrol.

Nine days before I would celebrate my 40th birthday this young man gave his life so that I might compete in the search engines and I don't deserve to completely own the name Rob Thrasher on the Web. So from this day forward I shall share this search engine ranking with the memory of a far braver Rob Thrasher than I. Thank you Sergeant Thrasher for your courage and duty. We will never forget your sacrifice and that of your family! ...Honor the Fallen Memorial...
